至元八年，世祖遣使砲匠於宗王阿不哥，王以阿老瓦丁、亦思馬因應詔，二人舉家馳驛至京師，給以官舍。 In 1271 Emperor Shizu sent envoys to Prince Abagha seeking artillery craftsmen. The prince dispatched Ala al-Din and Ismail in answer to the imperial summons; both men rushed their entire households by relay to the capital, where the court lodged them in official residences.
