吏部郎中李奬退表不許，曰：「昔伯瑜之不應留，王朗所以發歎，宜速遣赴，無踵彥雲前失。」 Li Jiang, Director of the Personnel Bureau, rejected the memorial and refused permission, saying, "Long ago when Boyu would not stay, Wang Lang sighed over it; he should be dispatched quickly and not repeat Yanyun's former mistake."
