九月，羽謂海春侯大司馬曹咎曰：「謹守成皋。 In the ninth month, Xiang Yu said to Hai Chun Marquis Grand Marshal Cao Jiu: "Carefully guard Chenggao.

漢果數挑成皋戰，楚軍不出，使人辱之數日，大司馬咎怒，渡兵汜水。 Han repeatedly challenged the Chu army at Chenggao, but the Chu forces would not come out. Han sent men to insult them for several days, until Grand Marshal Jiu became angry and led his troops across the Si River.

大司馬咎、長史欣皆自剄汜水上。 Grand Marshal Jiu and Chief Secretary Xin both committed suicide on the Sishui.

羽下梁地十餘城，聞海春侯破，乃引兵還。 Xiang Yu took over 10 cities in Liang territory. He heard that Hai Chun Marquis was defeated, so he led troops back.
