建武二年春，遣騎都尉陳副、遊擊將軍鄧隆征揚，揚閉城門，不內副等。 In the spring of Jianwu 2, Guangwu sent Cavalry Commandant Chen Fu and Roaming-Attack General Deng Long to summon Liu Yang; Liu Yang shut the gates and refused to admit them.

純從吏士百餘騎與副、隆會元氏，俱至真定，止傳舍。 Geng Chun rode to Yuanshi with a hundred-odd horsemen, joined Chen Fu and Deng Long, and entered Zhending to the post station.
