義寧二年，江都亂，法興自以世南土，屬姓數千家，遠近向服，乃與祐將孫士漢、陳果仁執祐，名誅宇文化及，三月發東陽，行收兵，趨江都，下余杭，比至烏程，眾六萬。
In the second year of Yining, when Jiangdu fell into chaos, Faxing thought himself rooted in the south: his clan numbered thousands of households, and men far and near looked to him. With You's generals Sun Shihan and Chen Guoren he seized You, claiming to execute Yuwen Huaji. In the third month he marched from Dongyang, gathering troops as he went toward Jiangdu and down into Yuhang. By the time he reached Wucheng he had sixty thousand men.
