自明宗時王都反定州，契丹遣禿餒、荝剌等助都，而為趙德鈞、王晏球所敗，禿餒見殺，荝剌等皆送京師。 Since Mingzong's time, when Wang Du rebelled at Ding Prefecture, the Khitan had sent Tu'nei, Cila, and others to aid him, but Zhao Dejun and Wang Yanqiu defeated them. Tu'nei was killed, and Cila and the others were sent to the capital.

其後契丹數遣使者求荝剌等，其辭甚卑恭，明宗輒斬其使者不報。 Afterward the Khitan repeatedly sent envoys requesting the return of Cila and the others, speaking with great humility, but Mingzong always executed their envoys and refused to reply.
