文紀素與宰相崔協有隙，協除工部郎中於鄴，文紀以鄴與其父名同音，大怒，鄴赴省參上，文紀不見之，因請連假。 Wenji had long been at odds with Chancellor Cui Xie. When Xie appointed Yu Ye as a director in the Ministry of Works, Wenji flew into a rage because Ye was homophonous with his father's name. When Ye came to the ministry for his induction audience, Wenji refused to receive him and took an extended leave.
