彥若在鎮二年，臨薨，手表奏隱為兩使留後，昭宗未之許，命宰相崔遠為節度使。 Yanruo governed two years; dying, he memorialized that Yin be acting governor of both commissions. The emperor refused and named Chief Minister Cui Yuan governor.
