镠遣都將成及、杜棱等攻常州，取周寶以歸，镠具軍禮郊迎，館寶於樟亭，寶病卒。 Qian Liu sent Cheng Ji, Du Ling, and others to attack Changzhou and bring Zhou Bao back. Qian Liu welcomed him at the city outskirts with full military honors and housed him at Zhang Pavilion, where Zhou Bao died of illness.

棱等進攻潤州，逐劉浩，執薛朗，剖其心以祭寶。 Du Ling and his men then attacked Runzhou, expelled Liu Hao, captured Xue Lang, and cut out his heart as an offering to Zhou Bao's spirit.
