清與其子志烈及所親杜士交潛謀回戈，夜襲安南，數日城陷，像古故及於害。 Yang Qing, his son Zhilie, and his confidant Du Shijiao secretly plotted to turn their forces around. They struck Annam by night and took the city within days. Li Xianggu met his death in the attack.

志烈與士交敗，保於長州之鑿溪，尋以所部兵來降。 Zhilie and Du Shijiao were defeated and fled to Zaoxi Creek in Chang Prefecture, then soon surrendered with the troops they still commanded.
