會獨吉和尚持大定赦文至。 Duji Heshang arrived with the amnesty proclamation of the Dading reign.

和尚使人招之，斡論不聽，率兵來迎，和尚亦以所將蒲輦兵，列陣待之。 Heshang sent envoys to call him in; Wolun refused and marched to confront him. Heshang, for his part, drew up the Pulan troops he commanded and waited in battle array.

和尚邀之入相州，收其甲兵，置酒相勞，斡論托腹疾，不肯飲。 Heshang brought him into Xiang Prefecture, disarmed his men, and set a feast to honor them. Wolun claimed a stomach ailment and would not drink.

至夜，已張燈，時時出門，與其心腹密謀，欲就執和尚。 By night, with lamps already burning, he slipped out again and again to conspire with his closest followers—they meant to seize Heshang then and there.

稍具弓矢，和尚覺之，佯為不知，使其從者迫而伺之，斡論不得發。 Bows and arrows were quietly readied. Heshang saw it but played ignorant, ordering his attendants to crowd in and watch; Wolun never found his opening.
