脩成君有女娥，太后欲嫁之於諸侯。 The princess had a daughter, E, whom her mother hoped to marry off to a feudal king.

宦者甲乃請使齊，必令王上書請娥。 Xu Jia volunteered for a mission to Qi, promising to bring back a formal request from the king for the girl's hand.
