廢帝起鳳翔，將行，鳳翔人叩馬乞從嚴。 When Feidi raised his banner in Fengxiang and prepared to leave, the townspeople caught his horse and begged for Congyan.

廢帝入立，復以從嚴為鳳翔節度使，卒年四十九。 When Feidi became emperor he restored Congyan to Fengxiang. Congyan died at forty-nine.
