三年，高祖詔夔州總管趙郡王孝恭討之，拔通、開二州，斬偽東平王阇提。 In the third year Emperor Gaozu ordered the Prince of Zhao, General-in-Chief of Kuizhou Li Xiaogong, to attack him. Xiaogong took Tong and Kai prefectures and beheaded the false Prince of Dongping, Zheti.

銑至，高祖讓之，對曰：「隋失其鹿，英雄競逐。 When Xian was brought before Emperor Gaozu, the emperor reproached him. Xian answered, "Sui lost the empire, and heroes raced to seize it.

帝怒其不屈，詔斬都市，年三十九。 The emperor was enraged by his defiance and ordered him beheaded in the public market. He was thirty-nine.
