順宗即位，王叔文始奪其權，拜兵部尚書，尋除檢校吏部尚書、東都留守。 When Emperor Shunzong came to the throne, Wang Shuwen stripped him of real authority. He was appointed Minister of Military Affairs, then shortly appointed Acting Minister of Personnel and Garrison Commander of the Eastern Capital.

順宗即位，入為兵部侍郎。 When Emperor Shunzong came to the throne, Li Xun was brought back to serve as Vice Minister of Military Affairs.
