元帝以來，宗廟奉祠高皇帝為受命祖，孝文皇帝為太宗，孝武皇帝為世宗，皆如舊制。 Since Emperor Yuan, the ancestral temples had offered sacrifices to Emperor Gao as the ancestor who received the mandate, to Emperor Wen as Taizong, and to Emperor Wu as Shizong, all according to the old system.

乃案七經讖、明堂圖、河間《古辟雍記》、孝武太山明堂制度，及平帝時議，欲具奏之。 He collated the seven-classics weft-texts, a Bright Hall diagram, the Hejian "Ancient Bright Hall" record, Emperor Wu's Tai-shan Bright Hall plan, and Ping-era debates, preparing a full memorial.
