元光二年冬十二月庚寅，宣宗疾大漸，皇太子異母兄英王守純先入侍疾，太子自東宮扣門求見，令蒲阿衷甲聚兵屯于艮嶽，以備非常。 In winter, in the twelfth month of the second year of Yuanguang, on gengyin, Emperor Xuanzong fell gravely ill. The crown prince's elder half-brother Prince Ying Shouchun entered first to attend him; the crown prince came from the Eastern Palace, knocked at the gate seeking audience, and ordered Pu'a to don armor beneath his robe, gather troops, and encamp at Genyue against any emergency.
