煬帝立，尤忌知名士，遂調東都書佐，檢校宿城令，世謂祖宿城。 When Emperor Yang ascended the throne he especially feared famous scholars and therefore transferred him to Eastern Capital clerk and Inspector of Suicheng Magistrate—the world called him Zu of Suicheng.
