鬱林立，改領右軍將軍，揚州大中正，兼大匠卿。 When Emperor Yulin came to the throne, Cong was transferred to concurrent Right Army General, Grand Rectifier of Yang Province, and concurrently Chamberlain for the Imperial Workshops.

鬱林廢，悰竊歎曰：「王、徐遂縛袴廢天子，天下豈有此理邪？」 When Emperor Yulin was deposed, Cong sighed to himself: "Wang and Xu have actually bound up their trousers and deposed the Son of Heaven—has the world ever known such a thing?"
