昭宗素所器遇，決意復用之，而李茂貞等上言深詆其非，帝不獲已，又罷為太子少師。 Emperor Zhaozong had long valued him and resolved to restore him to office, but Li Maozhen and others submitted memorials bitterly denouncing him; the emperor had no choice and again dismissed him as Preceptor of the Heir Apparent.
