大軍至河東城下，契丹營於忻、代之間，遙應賊勢，詔天雄軍節度使符彥卿率諸將屯忻州以拒之。 When the main army reached the walls of Hedong, the Khitans encamped between Xin and Dai in support of the enemy. An edict ordered Fu Yanqing, military governor of the Tianxiong army, to lead the generals to hold Xin Prefecture against them.
