佐葛從周伐鎮、定，從張存敬收晉、絳，皆有功，署為河中都虞候，榷鹽務。 He helped Ge Congzhou against Zhen and Ding and Zhang Cunjing against Jin and Jiang, winning merit each time; he was then made chief adjutant of Hezhong and put in charge of the salt monopoly.
