進滔子弘敬子弘敬襲其位。 Jintao's son Hongjing succeeded to his father's post.

弘敬不從，竟就加節制。 Hongjing refused, and in the end received the full command baton anyway.

鎮州王元逵下邢、洺二州，兵次上黨，弘敬方出師壓境。 Wang Yuankui of Zhenzhou had already taken Xing and Ming and halted his army at Shangdang before Hongjing at last marched out to menace the frontier.
