嶺南節度使何履光、黔中節度使趙國珍、襄陽太守徐浩未至，裨將嶺南、黔中、荊襄子弟半在軍，多懷金銀為資糧，軍資器械盡棄於路如山積。 Lingnan governor He Lüguang, Qianzhong governor Zhao Guozhen, and Xiangyang prefect Xu Hao had not yet come up. Half the subordinate officers from Lingnan, Qianzhong, and Jing-Xiang were in the ranks, many laden with gold and silver for supplies. Arms and equipment were cast aside along the road in mountain-high piles.
