顯慶二年，授蔥山道行軍大總管以討賀魯。 In Xianqing 2 he commanded the Congshan circuit campaign against Helu.

師次怛篤城，有胡人數千家開門出降，知節屠城而去，賀魯遂即遠遁。 At Dudu City thousands of Hu surrendered; Zhijie massacred the city and Helu fled.
