及聞漢祖建義於並門，乃與部將王晏、侯章戮力葉謀，逐契丹所命官屬，據有陜州，即時馳騎聞於漢祖。 Learning that the founder of Later Han had raised his standard at Taiyuan, he plotted together with his officers Wang Yan and Hou Zhang, drove out the officials the Khitans had installed, took control of Shaan prefecture, and immediately sent horsemen to inform the Han founder.
