河西自王行瑜敗後，郡邑皆為李茂貞之所強據，以其將胡敬璋為節度使，萬興為敬璋騎將，昆弟俱有戰功。 After Wang Xingyu's defeat, Li Maozhen seized the Hexi prefectures and appointed his general Hu Jingzhang as commissioner; Wanxing served as Hu's cavalry commander, and both brothers won distinction in battle.

天祐五年冬，敬璋卒，崇本以其愛將劉萬子為鄜延帥，萬子以兇暴而失士心。 In the winter of the fifth year of Tianyou, Jingzhang died; Chongben made his favorite Liu Wanzi commander of Fu-Yan, but Liu lost his men's loyalty through brutality.

六年二月，萬子葬敬璋，將佐皆集於葬所，萬興、萬金因會縱兵攻萬子，殺之，歸款於汴。 In the second month of the sixth year, when Wanzi buried Jingzhang and all his officers gathered at the funeral, Wanxing and Wanjin seized the moment to attack and kill him, then submitted to Bian.
