又及其子祥，云：「我唯有一子，死後勿如比來威抑之。」 He also spoke to his son Xiang: "I have only one son. After my death, do not keep disciplining him as you have lately."

靈太后以其好戲，時加威訓。 Empress Dowager Ling had often scolded Xiang for his love of play.

初國珍無男，養兄真子僧洗為後，後納趙平君，生子祥。 At first Guozhen had no son and adopted his brother Zhen's son Sengxi as heir. Later he married Lady Zhaoping and fathered Xiang.

祥，字元吉，襲封。 Xiang, courtesy name Yuanji, inherited the title.

故事，世襲例皆減邑，唯祥獨得全封。 By precedent hereditary titles were reduced on succession, but Xiang alone kept the full fief.

祥歷位殿中尚書、中書監、侍中，改封東平郡公。 Xiang served as Director of the Palace, Supervisor of the Palace Secretariat, and Palace Attendant, and was re-enfeoffed as Duke of Dongping Commandery.
