即調飛虎等軍會隅總討之，應鈴親臨誓師，號令明壯，士卒鼓勇以前，禽蔣時選父子及凶渠五人誅之，脅從者使之安業，未一月全師而歸。 He immediately mobilized the Flying Tiger Army and others to join local defense units in a joint campaign. Yingling personally came to exhort the troops; his commands were clear and bold, and the soldiers pressed forward with spirit. Jiang Shixuan, his son, and five chief ringleaders were captured and executed; those who had been coerced were allowed to return to their occupations, and in less than a month the entire force returned without loss.
