開平元年與康懷英等攻潞州，築夾城為蚰蜒塹以圍之，逾年不能下，晉兵攻破夾城，道昭戰死。 In Kaiping 1 he joined Kang Huaiying against Luzhou, building twin encampments linked by a centipede trench. After more than a year the city still held; Jin broke the encirclement and Daozhao fell in battle.
