太祖哀之，遣劉夫人入城慰諭之。 Taizu was moved and sent Lady Liu into the city to reason with him.

劉夫人引與俱來，存孝泥首請罪曰：「兒於晉有功而無過，所以至此，由存信為之耳！」 Lady Liu brought him out; Cunxiao groveled and pleaded: "I served Jin with merit and no crime—Cunxin alone drove me to this!"
