初，渙有寵妾鄭氏，縱以母事之。 Huan had once had a favored concubine, Lady Zheng, whom Zong treated as his mother.

鄭氏性剛戾，待縱不以理，雖為大僚，每加笞詬。 Lady Zheng was harsh and unreasonable. Though Zong had risen to high office, she still beat and scolded him.
