舉進士，為唐潞王從珂河中觀察支使。 He passed the jinshi examination and became staff officer to Li Congke, the Prince of Lu, in his Hezhong observation mission.

從珂為楊彥溫所逐，罷居於京師裏第，胤孫從而不去。 When Congke was driven out by Yang Yanwen and sent to live in his mansion in the capital, Yinxun stayed with him and would not leave.

從珂為京兆尹，徙鎮鳳翔，胤孫常從之，以為觀察判官。 When Congke became metropolitan governor of Jingzhao and was transferred to Fengxiang, Yinxun went with him and was made administrative aide of the observation mission.

潞王將舉兵反，與將吏韓昭胤等謀議已定，召胤孫告之曰：「受命移鎮，路出京師，何向為便？」 When the Prince of Lu was about to raise troops in rebellion, he had already settled plans with Han Zhaoyin and the other officers. He summoned Yinxun and told him: "I have received orders to move my command, and the route goes through the capital. Which direction would be best?"

左右皆笑其愚，然從珂心獨重之。 Those around the prince laughed at his naivety, but Congke alone came to value him.
