明年，僖宗即位，以谓前太原节度使李业遇沙陀有恩，而业已死，乃以其子钧为灵武节度使、宣慰沙陀六州三部落使，六州三部落，皆不见其名处，据唐书除使有此语尔。 The next year Xizong succeeded to the throne. Remembering that the former Taiyuan governor Li Ye had once dealt kindly with the Shatuo, and that Ye was now dead, the court appointed his son Jun military governor of Lingwu and commissioner to pacify the Shatuo across six prefectures and three tribes—whose names are not recorded anywhere except in the appointment language of the Tang Annals.

僖宗乃拜铎大同军使，以李钧为代北招讨使，以讨沙陀。 Xizong named Duo military governor of Datong and Li Jun commissioner for the campaign against the Shatuo in the northern Dai region.
