光化元年十二月,晉之潞帥薛誌勤卒,罕之乘其喪,自澤州率眾徑入潞州,自稱留後,以狀聞於克用曰:「聞誌勤之喪,新帥未至,慮為他盜所窺,不俟命,已屯於潞矣。」
Guanghua 1, month 12, after Xue Zhiqin died as Lu commander, Hanzhi marched from Ze into Lu, declared himself commissioner, and told Keyong, "With Zhiqin dead and no successor yet, I feared raiders and garrisoned Lu without orders."
