乾寧二年，建與鳳翔李茂貞、邠州王行瑜舉兵赴闕，迫昭宗請以王珙為河中帥，害大臣於都下。 In Qianning 2 Jian joined Li Maozhen of Fengxiang and Wang Xingyu of Binzhou in marching troops to the capital. They pressured Emperor Zhaozong to appoint Wang Gong military governor of Hezhong and killed senior ministers in the capital.

三年四月，昭宗遣延王、通王率禁兵討李茂貞，為茂貞所敗，車駕幸渭橋。 In the fourth month of year 3, Emperor Zhaozong sent the Princes of Yan and Tong at the head of the palace troops to attack Li Maozhen. Maozhen defeated them, and the emperor fled to Wei Bridge.
