唐天復三年，從太祖迎昭宗於岐下，李茂貞以勁兵出戰，為師厚所敗。 In Tianfu 3 he joined the Founder in bringing Emperor Zhaozong back from Qi; Li Maozhen marched out with elite troops and Shihou routed him.
