戊辰，梁將王彥章率眾至汶河，李嗣源遣騎軍偵視，至遞公鎮，梁軍來挑戰，嗣源以精騎擊而敗之，生擒梁將任釗、田章等三百人，俘斬二百級，彥章引眾保於中都。 On wuchen Wang Yanzhang of Liang reached the Wen; Li Siyuan sent scouts to Digong post; the Liang offered battle and Siyuan routed them with picked horse, taking Ren Zhao, Tian Zhang, and three hundred others alive and two hundred heads; Yanzhang fell back on Zhongdu.

嗣源飛驛告捷，帝置酒大悅，曰：「是當決行渡河之策。」 Siyuan sent word by urgent post; the Emperor feasted in joy and said, "Now we must decide to cross the river."
