李彥弼見帝倨甚，帝不平，偓請逐之，赦其黨許自新，則狂謀自破，帝不用。 Li Yanbi behaved with great arrogance when he met the emperor, and the emperor was displeased. Wo asked that Yanbi be expelled and his followers pardoned on condition of reform, saying that their reckless plots would then collapse of themselves, but the emperor did not adopt the plan.

彥弼譖偓及渙漏禁省語，不可與圖政，帝怒，曰：「卿有官屬，日夕議事，奈何不欲我見學士邪？」 Yanbi slandered Wo and Huan for leaking inner-court secrets and said they were unfit to take part in governing. The emperor grew angry and said, "You have your own officials discussing affairs day and night—why do you not wish me to see the academicians?"
