悛父勔討殷琰，平壽陽，無所犯害，百姓德之，爲立碑祀。 Quan's father Mian had campaigned against Yin Yan and pacified Shouyang without harming the people; the commoners honored him and erected a stele shrine.

悛步道從壽陽之鎮，過勔碑，拜敬泣涕。 Quan traveled on foot from Shouyang to take up his post; when he passed his father's stele he bowed in reverence and wept.
