劉闢拒命，帝意討之，未決。 Liu Pi defied imperial orders; the emperor wished to suppress him but had not yet made up his mind.

吉甫獨請無置，宜絕朝貢以折奸謀。 Jifu alone advised against dispatching troops and urged that court tribute be cut off to frustrate Liu Pi's designs.

問吉甫，對曰：「昔韋臯蓄財多，故劉闢因以構亂。 The emperor asked Jifu, who replied, "In the past Wei Gao amassed great wealth, and Liu Pi was thereby able to raise rebellion.

劉闢平，吉甫謀居多。 When Liu Pi was suppressed, Jifu's counsel had played the leading part.
