法興隋大業末為吳興郡守，東陽賊樓世幹略其郡，煬帝詔與太仆丞元祐討之。 At the end of the Sui, Faxing was administrator of Wuxing. The Dongyang rebel Lou Shigan raided his commandery, and Emperor Yang ordered Faxing, together with the imperial stud vice director Yuan You, to suppress him.
