盧光稠據虔州以攻嶺上，其弟光睦據潮州，子延昌據韶州； Lu Guangchou held Qianzhou and raided up into the ranges; his younger brother Guangmu held Chaozhou, and his son Yanchang held Shaozhou;

隱攻韶州，龑曰：「韶州所賴者光稠，擊之，虔人必應，應則首尾受敵，此不宜直攻而可以計取。」 When Yin attacked Shaozhou, Yan said, "Shaozhou depends on Guangchou. Strike it and the men of Qian will surely come to his aid; if they do we shall be caught between two fires. This is no place for a frontal assault — it must be taken by stratagem."
