御史梁中靖疏劾，提解刑部，審得實情是強非和，並原審各官賄囑、徇縱、回護諸弊狀，思虎論斬，趙二姑旌表，巡撫邱樹棠、按察使盧元偉及府縣各官，降革遣戍有差。 Censor Liang Zhongjing impeached the officials. The case went to the Ministry of Punishments, which found rape rather than consensual adultery and exposed bribery, favoritism, and cover-up in the original trial. Sihu was sentenced to death; Zhao Ergu was posthumously honored; Governor Qiu Shutang, Judicial Commissioner Lu Yuanwei, and the lower officials were demoted, dismissed, or exiled in varying degrees.
