未幾，後唐武皇遣大將周德威會邠、鳳之師五萬同攻夏州，仁福固守月餘，梁援軍至，德威遁去，梁祖喜之，超授檢校太保、同平章事。 Soon the Martial Emperor of Later Tang sent Zhou Dewei with fifty thousand troops from Bin and Feng to attack Xiazhou; Renfu held out for over a month until Liang reinforcements arrived and Dewei withdrew; the founder was pleased and specially promoted him to acting Grand Guardian and Tongping Zhangshi.
