明宗即位，文進自平州率眾數萬歸唐，明宗得之，喜甚，以為義成軍節度使。 When Mingzong took the throne, Wenjin led tens of thousands from Ping back to Tang. Mingzong was delighted and made him military commissioner of Yicheng.

金全少為唐明宗廝養，以驍勇善騎射，常從明宗戰伐，以功為刺史。 In youth Jinquan was a servant in Mingzong’s household. Bold in the saddle and with the bow, he rode on Mingzong’s campaigns and rose to prefect by merit.

罷歸，獻馬數十匹，居數日，又以獻，明宗謂曰：「卿患馬多邪，何進獻之數也？ Recalled from office, he sent several dozen horses; within days he sent more. Mingzong said: “Do you have too many horses, that you keep offering them?
