The court ordered Grand Councilor Wanyan Shouzhen, Vice Director Xu Chiguo, Revenue Minister Yang Botong, and Daxing prefect Nipanggu Jian to investigate. The net of implication grew very wide, and for a long time no verdict could be reached.
