桓玄輔政，為中外都督，豁議：「致敬唯內外武官，太宰、司徒，並非軍職，則琅邪王不應加敬。」 When Huan Xuan held power as area commander of inner and outer affairs, Huo argued: "Bowing in respect applies only to inner and outer military officials. The Grand Steward and Minister over the Masses are not military posts, so the Prince of Langye should not receive added obeisance."
