初，宣復封為侯時，妻死，而敬武長公主寡居，上令宣尚焉。
When Xue Xuan regained his marquisate, his wife had died, and the widowed Princess Jingwu was available; the emperor ordered him to marry her.
及宣免歸故郡，公主留京師。
After he was stripped of office and sent back to his home commandery, the princess remained in the capital.
