數歲喪父，養於叔父職方員外郎幹，後隨母歸魏仁浦家，駙馬都尉咸信，其異父弟也。 He lost his father when he was only a few years old and was raised by his uncle Qian, a vice director in the Bureau of Operations; later he followed his mother into Wei Renpu's household. The imperial son-in-law Xianxin was his half-brother on his mother's side.
